Honoring Lieutenant Leslee Smith: 2025 IAFF-MG Ribbon Ride Stop at Station 61

Today, members of the IAFF-MG (Motorcycle Group) arrived at North Whatcom Fire and Rescue Station 61 as part of the Washington State Firefighters Ribbon Ride.

The group stopped to honor Lieutenant Leslee Smith and to receive the memorial ribbon that will be carried to Olympia, where it will be presented during the 2025 Washington State Firefighters Memorial in recognition of her line-of-duty death.

The memorial will take place on June 22nd at 1:00 PM at the Washington State Capitol – where Leslee will be honored alongside other fallen firefighters.

The IAFF-MG’s 2025 Ribbon Ride began on June 9 and includes stops in Walla Walla, Blaine, Edmonds, Tacoma, and Central Pierce—carrying with it the names and memories of those we’ve lost in service.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Station 61 to show support, and to the IAFF-MG for ensuring that Leslee’s ribbon and legacy are carried with honor.
