As this long weekend comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who fought for the rights we have as workers today.

It's easy to forget that what most of us consider normal working conditions weren't always normal. The 40-hour work week, minimum wage, child labor laws, collective bargaining rights... all of it was won by the people who came before us.

Thank you to those who fought for better working conditions, and to those still fighting for the ones who come after.This #LaborDay, we honor the generations of #IAFF members who have built our union and those carrying it forward today.
