🔥 We need your help keeping Whatcom kids warm this winter! 🔥

Every year, Local 106 partners with Operation Warm to provide brand-new winter coats to kids in need across Whatcom County. Because Operation Warm works directly with manufacturers, we’re able to purchase high-quality coats at a low cost — stretching every donation further.

Just $25 provides a new winter coat for a child in need.

Last year, we provided 408 coats across Whatcom County schools. This year, our goal is 500 coats — but we can’t get there without your help! 💛

The smiles on kids’ faces as we fit them in their new coats are unforgettable — and it’s only possible thanks to your support.

👉 Please join us in supporting Operation Warm and making sure no child in Whatcom County faces winter without a coat.

🇺🇸🇨🇦 Never Forget – 9/11 Memorial at the Peace Arch

Today, members of Whatcom County Fire Departments (Local 106) joined with our brothers and sisters from across British Columbia to honor the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.

The annual 9/11 Memorial Ride and Ceremony concluded at the Peace Arch, bringing together fire departments, first responders, and community members from both sides of the border. Departments from across Whatcom County and Canada stood shoulder to shoulder in remembrance.

This ceremony was not only about reflection, but about unity—recognizing the bravery and sacrifice of all those who responded on that tragic day, and ensuring that their legacy is never forgotten.

We remember the 343 firefighters, 72 law enforcement officers, 55 military personnel, and the thousands of civilians whose lives were lost.

🙏 A special thank-you to North Whatcom Fire and Rescue for their significant contributions in helping make this event possible.

We will never forget.
